JAMES HOUGHTON III

30/05/1890 - 07/1938. A@TOD 48.

James married Dora Ann Deason in 1920. In 1921 they are in lodgings, living with the Gledhill’s at 32 Napier Street, Leeds.

The 1921 census suggests that James had been recently in the army.  If he had served in the First World War he would have been demobbed sometime after 1919 but if injured may have been in hospital after then. Unfortunately, unlike his brother’s, his army records have not survived.

James died at the age of 48 of a heart attack, his profession on his death certificate is “General Labourer”, he was buried in a consecrated grave in Harehills Cemetery in Leeds on 21st July 1938.
