Jane married William Bowes a carter who was lodging at 21, Bedford Place, in 1914. They are living in the house in 1921 together with a married couple and child so they may have been carrying on the business. They both die in the house in 1946 and 1947, Jane after at least 58 years of living there.
William Bowes died on 10th September 1947 at 21 Bedford Place and was buried in Leeds General Cemetery 0n 12th September 1947.
